About SkillsFuture Credit

SkillsFuture Credit aims to encourage individual ownership of skills development and lifelong learning. All Singaporeans aged 25 and above will receive an opening credit of S$500 from January 2016. Your credit will not expire and the government will provide periodic top-ups, so you may accumulate your credit.

Your SkillsFuture Credit can be used on top of existing government course subsidies to pay for a wide range of approved skills-related courses. For more information, visit:

About SkillsFuture Study Awards

The SkillsFuture Study Award encourages Singaporeans to develop and deepen specialist skills needed by future economic growth sectors or in areas of demand. It also supports Singaporeans who already have deep specialist skills to develop other competencies.

The SkillsFuture Study Awards are for early to mid-career Singaporeans who are committed to developing and deepening their skills in key sectors and have relevant working experience in such sectors.

You will receive a monetary award of S$5,000, which you can use to defray out-of-pocket expenses associated with the course that you will be taking. It can also be used on top of existing Government course fee subsidies. You do not need to serve a bond.


Eligibility Criteria for SkillsFuture Study Award for Financial Sector

·         Singaporeans with minimum 3 years of work experience in the financial sector

·         Committed to deepening skills in the sector

·         Has track record of contributing to the learning or training of self and/or others

·         Not a previous recipient of any SkillsFuture Study Award


Application Period

For courses that commence between 1 Apr 2017 and 31 Mar 2018
Application closing date: 31 Jan 2017


Evaluation Process

Evaluation of applications will take about 8 to 12 weeks after the closing date. Shortlisted applicants will be notified.
